I See You

I See You
September 29, 2017

I ask God to bless in some special way each person praying for me today.  It is truly amazing the power of prayer.  I have always believed that prayer was powerful. Today I am aware of just how powerful prayer is.  I have slept well each night since the one night of sleeping poorly.  The fearful thoughts are not attacking me presently.  I am truly not anxious.   “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything through prayer and petition with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.  And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:6-7) This verse is alive in me right now.  God’s peace is surpassing fearful thoughts and worries.  God’s peace is guarding my heart and mind.  Amazing!

Just a couple of thoughts from Job 42 and then I will get on to the almost full pathology report received today.  The LORD has just spoken in the last 4 chapters and now Job responds. “I know that You can do all things; no plan of Yours can be thwarted.” Yes, Father, You can do all…You can heal, provide, renew, restore, transform and even resurrect.  Nothing, not cancer, loss, weakness, satan, lack of information, too much information, or others can thwart Your plan.

Job continues, “My ears had heard of You, but now my eyes have seen you.”  I respond, I have heard You speak in the past.  Father, are You going to let me “see” You in this whirlwind? How did Job see You?  Was it through Your actions?  How am I “seeing” You even now?

45 days ago, First 5 began the Bible study entitled, Suffering and Sovereignty.  You began preparing me 45 days ago for this “suffering.”  For 45 days You have reminded me that You are sovereign even in suffering.  And for the next 17 days, First 5 will continue to explore the subject of Suffering and Sovereignty.

In Your perfect timing, my husband sold a bucking bull for a good price giving us provision for the initial doctor visits and testing. BEFORE the need.  And it was in Your perfect timing that the doctor visits/tests occurred BEFORE we had spent that money on something else.  Also in Your perfect timing, my husband had already determined to sell a large portion of our older cows...more provision before the need.

From the time I saw the first doctor until I got the initial biopsy results was 13 days!  And now today, after I received the almost full pathology lab results, my MRI is scheduled for Monday.  My doctor said it usually takes from 4 to 10 days to get in for an MRI and I get in the very next business day!
I literally “see” You at work in my circumstances!

Now for the pathology lab results.  There is NO skin involvement on the left side!  Huge praise! On the right it is ductal carcinoma in situ and on the left, infiltrating ductal carcinoma but it has not invaded the skin.  I did not see the doctor when picking up my report, so I do have some questions regarding letters and percentages.  We are waiting on the HER2/neu result for the pathology lab report to be complete.

So, today I will praise God that I am “seeing” Him at work in my circumstances, I am feeling Him at work guarding my heart and mind and there is no skin involvement on the left!
